Power BI 1.3 - Release notes

Model

  • Max value of Dates table has been changed to the max date value from Sales table instead of Validation period table.
  • Movement query timeout has been increased to 15 minutes
  • Tax group table has been removed – tax group information is
  • Loyalty cards query fixed to calculate value from correct tender rule and prevent duplicates.
  • Sign in/Sign out transaction table added
  • Employee signed in log added
  • Discount value in sales query changed to” whole discount amount with tax”
  • Inventory query has been fixed. Joins were creating multiple lines in table when same item had parked, ordered and reserved stock which produced strange values in table that did not match values in Site Manager. This has now been fixed and tested.
  • Table dTime has been added to model. This table is connected to the time of sale for creating sales by hour.

Relationships

  • Changed Transfer request > Transfer order ID to Transfer order > Transfer order ID relationship from many to 1 to 1 to many. So that now a transfer request can have many transfer orders.

Reports and dashboards

  • Employee Shifts report added - This report
  • Sales with Discount and Price changes report added - This report shows sales with modified prices and discounts by discount. If there is no discount offer then sales with price modifications are shown under the “blank” because in this version promotions and sales prices used are not saved wit the transaction. This will be modified in version 2019 and then the report template will be updated.
  • Average Sales KPI’s added to Sales report.
  • Discount amount field added to Item sales and Sales report
  • Promotion items report added – this report shows all items that are included in promotions. Filters include (Status, Valid validation period, Zero price)
  • Sales Dashboard updated with date slider, year slicer and retail item hierarchy filter. Forecasting visual has been replaced with the forecasting line visual included in Power BI and it forecasts sales values based on historical sales data.
  • Forecast Dashboard added – this dashboard uses the default forecasting model in Power BI.
  • Sales by Date/Time Dashboard added – ctrl click the image to change between Amount and Qty
