Power BI 2.0 - Release notes

This is the first official release of the LS One Power BI templates.

In this release there are two templates: one that works for versions 2017.2 and later and one that works for versions 2019 and later. The reason for this is that we wanted to have version of the template for the 2017.2 versions that is in use all over the world, but we also wanted to be able to add new fields and tables for the current and coming versions.

The following release notes apply to both versions except for the last section that lists changes between the two templates.

Model

• Header item information added to the Item query, regular items have item ID and description set as header item information.
• Retail item hierarchy with header item added to Item table.
• dTime table has been renamed to Time.
• Stock movement has been removed but will be added back in next version.
• Unit dimension/table added to model.
• Date view and Date received tables have been removed. And now dates in the reports come directly from each table. Relations ships to these tables have also been removed.
• We have restricted the use of the Date table connections to only a few tables. Holiday calendar is still connected to this table because it is used as a filter on the sales. Tenders and Stock Take dates also linked here.
• Total review was done on the model. Unused fields were hidden, and descriptions were added to others. Minor changes were made to the names of some fields to enforce consistency.

Reports and dashboards

• Home dashboard - Updated buttons for new reports added in last version.
• Inventory report - Now shows stock values for variant items grouped by header items and variant search has been added to filter down to different variants.
• Customer report - Now shows Total incl. Tax instead of Total excl. Tax.
• Credit memos – Time added to Credit memo transactions
• Unit added to Transfer request, Customer transactions, Item sales - Detailed and Receipt lines reports.
• Stock movement report has been removed but will be added back in next version.

Difference between templates for 2019 and 2017.2

• Price change ID field added to Sales table in model and to Sales with discounts and promotions and Item sales – Detailed reports.
